This is my very first newsletter!
If you’d prefer not to receive future updates, please let me know. No hurt feelings. Or if you received this newsletter twice, my apologies. Just let me know! I appreciate your patience until I get this right.
If you stay, I promise not to clog your inbox with needless babble—only to write when there’s truly something worthwhile to share.
I trust you’re all enjoying our bright but chilly days as mid-October settles in. Welcome to autumn—there’s plenty of new and exciting things on my plate, as I’m sure there are on yours.
Since January…
Kintsugi: A Woman was published.
To summarize:
-
- My books are now available in several libraries across the Lower Mainland—please ask for it if it’s not yet in yours.
- A special mention to the four women who checked my book out of the library for the first time, in Burnaby, in Richmond, Coquitlam, and Port Moody. You know who you are. thank you.

- My book launch in July was a wonderful success, and I was thrilled to share that milestone with so many of you. A special shout out to my son and daughter-in-law who so generously offered their house for a beautiful and inviting venue.

- My author reading in Summerland in September was equally exciting, with more than thirty attendees. I’m deeply grateful to my friends who invited their friends—who invited their friends. That’s the secret to how an unknown, local, and self-published author like me draws a crowd! My thanks also to the Summerland Library for hosting such a warm event.

- My first as an exhibitor at Word Vancouver where I met so many people in and related to publishing. Networking, sales and making new friends made it a fun day. This was where I met social media connections in real life. 😀

A Tribute to Local Authors at the Port Moody Library
It was an honour to be among many talented writers as we celebrated our shared successes this year. Our books are now part of the White Pines Collection at the library—a milestone I’m proud to be part of.
